This has given the new Expedition better balance and handling dynamics. It has also helped it earn a five-star rating in crash testing conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This is the highest possible score in the New Car Assessment Program. The 2018 Expedition was also the only vehicle in its segment to take away an Overall Vehicle Score this good. In addition to a structural design that protects passengers in the event of a crash, the 2018 Ford Expedition is also available with several Ford safety features that can help minimize an accident. While this full-size SUV is not yet available with the full Ford Co-Pilot360 system that will be available later this year<\/a> on select models, it is available with Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Cross-Traffic Alert, automatic high beams, and parking assistance. A standard feature on the 2018 Ford Expedition will also be seat belts with advanced tighteners so that in case of impact passengers will be pulled into the safest position to minimize injury.<\/p>\n
