With Easter approaching on the 21st<\/sup> of April, you might be looking for ideas on how to have a great celebration in honor of the only time of year that eggs and rabbits get conspicuously mixed up with Christianity.<\/p>\n That\u2019s why we stepped in to help provide the ultimate Easter weekend in Brainerd via some of the local events we\u2019re most excited for. Follow our schedule and you’ll find\u00a0plenty of fun for kids, parents, and even pets!<\/p>\n When?<\/strong> Saturday, April 20, from 10 am to 11 am<\/p>\n Where?<\/strong> Gregory Park, 511 N 5th<\/sup> Street, Brainerd, MN<\/p>\n This short, sweet<\/a>, and intense egg hunt is for ages 2-9 and will begin with a meeting at the center circle in Gregory Park. It\u2019s recommended you arrive at 9:45, as these guys like to start hunting at 10:00 am on the button. There will be a briefing beforehand, followed by the prospective hunters separating out into their specified \u201cquadrants.\u201d<\/p>\n The hunt itself usually lasts no more than fifteen minutes. In addition to the exciting search, the Easter Bunny himself will be around and willing to participate in both hugs and photographs. Unfortunately, he will not be made of chocolate so please don\u2019t try taking a bite.<\/p>\n The four age-group quadrants are:<\/p>\n Once a child collects ten eggs of their assigned color, they will be able to turn in their eggs for a goodie bag. Additionally, the Brainard Rotary will be doing a raffle to win fully-stocked Easter baskets this year.<\/p>\n A couple things to note are: you will probably have to park on the street, and hunters should bring their own basket for collecting the eggs.<\/p>\n Learn More: What are the best romantic restaurants near Brainerd MN?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n When? <\/strong>Saturday, April 20 from 2 pm to 3 pm<\/p>\n Where? <\/strong>Buster Park \u2013 A Playground for Dogs, Brainerd<\/p>\n Now that the kids have been satisfied by the morning at Gregory, head over to Buster Park after lunch to give the dog its dose<\/a> of Easter fun- it\u2019s only fair! Tennis balls will be scattered throughout Buster Park as well as along the Boom Lake Trail, and the dogs will get to hunt for them.<\/p>\n Each dog is allowed to keep one tennis ball, while the rest should be turned in in exchange for a treat bag reward.
