Strength and Flexibility
One of the F-150’s biggest strengths is its wide selection of models and customization options, and the flexibility this imparts to the consumer. With different packages and options available for each of its seven different models, the F-150 starts lower than the Ram and ends higher. This gives buyers more ability to choose the truck that best suits their individual needs (and individual wallets).
This flexibility is reflected in horsepower as well, which likewise can be customized for the buyer’s needs, offering options both higher and lower than the range of the Ram 1500. The F-150 offers six different engines, while the 2019 Ram 1500 offers only two.
Though the higher-end 2019 Ram 1500 models can be made to stretch to beefier towing capacity, Ford chooses to reserve this strength for its wide selection of premium Heavy Duty machines. For massive towing capacity, you can upgrade to the Heavy Duty 2019 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. Unfortunately for the Ram, there are no 2019 models yet of the Ram 2500 and Ram 3500, so those looking for cutting-edge high strength vehicles will be better off sticking with Ford.
