- The 2022 Ford Maverick is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission to produce a combined 191 horsepower.
- The brand also plans to offer a gas-powered 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission to produce 250 horsepower.
3. Drivers can upgrade to all-wheel drive on the upcoming gas-powered Maverick, which can tow up to 4,000 lbs.
4. The 2022 Ford Maverick can tow up to 2,000 lbs. and provides a maximum payload capacity of 1,500 lbs.
5. Ford estimates that the 2022 Maverick hybrid can achieve up to 40 mpg in the city.
