Gull Lake Recreation Area

Address: 10867 E Gull Lake Dr, Brainerd, MN 56401

The Gull Lake Recreation Area provides hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and camping opportunities. The campground offers a fishing pier, fish cleaning stations, flush toilets, a shower house, a horseshoe pit, hiking trails, firewood, a dump station, picnic areas, water and sewer hookups. The campsites are wooded and spaced out, offering electric hookups, picnic tables and tent pads. There are 40 sites available, two of which are designated campground host sites.

Cross Lake Recreation Area

Address: 35507 Co Rd 66, Crosslake, MN 56442

Cross Lake Recreation Area offers 122 campsites, with 97 of them providing electric hookups. The campsite offers fishing piers, two picnic shelters, boat beaching, boat ramps, hot showers and accessible fishing piers. Campers can also take advantage of a dump station, accessible showers, water and sewer hookups, and more.

Reservations must be made in advance; no walk-ins are allowed.

Rock Lake Campground at Crow Wing State Forest

Address: Orchard Park Ln SW, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472

The Rock Lake Campground offers a primitive 48-site campground with 7 accessible sites and 41 drive-in sites. Of these campsites, 13 are lakefront and more than a dozen are 30-foot RV sites. Each campsite comes with a fire ring, table and cleared area for tents. Campers also have access to hiking trails, a swimming beach, picnic areas, along with drinking water and vault toilets.

Rollie Johnson Natural & Recreational Area

Address: Pequot Lakes, MN 56472

The Rollie Johnson Natural and Recreational Area offers two islands and 12 campsites between them. The island offers hiking trails that take visitors through a towering forest and primitive forests. Visitors are asked to stay on designated trails and help conserve the ecology of the island.
