2018 Ford F-150 Engine and Interior Changes
The 2018 Ford F-150 has five gasoline engine options (with a diesel engine predicted to be available later in 2018), and seven attractive trim levels ranging from the no-frills XL to the elite Limited. Most of these powertrains and trims have seen standard and available enhancements for the new model year.
F-150 Engine Changes
- Auto Start-Stop standard on all engines
- All-new 3.3-liter V-6 engine
- New port and direct-injection technology standard on 3.3-liter V-6, 2.7-liter EcoBoost, and 5.0-liter V-8
- Driving modes available on the six-speed automatic transmission (normal, tow/haul, sport) and 10-speed automatic (normal, tow/haul, snow/wet, eco-select, sport)
- Spray-on bore liner technology on the 5.0-liter V-8
Interior Enhancements
- Leather color changes on King Ranch (Kingsville), Platinum (Dark Marsala), and Limited (Navy Pier) trims
- Available B&O PLAY™ Premium Audio System by HARMAN
- SYNC® Connect with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot standard on King Ranch, Platinum, Limited; available on XLT and Lariat
- Adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking with pedestrian detection available
