Diesel 2018 F-150 Offers Best-in-Class Highway MPG!

We’ve already posted about the fuel economy ratings for the five gasoline powered engines available in the 2018 Ford F-150 lineup, but now we have 2018 Ford F-150 diesel engine mileage numbers as well! The 3.0-liter Power Stroke V-6 offers not only class-leading horsepower of 250 and up to 440 pound-feet of torque, but will end up offering best-in-class mileage numbers as well! Designed from the tried-and-true 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine that comes on Ford Super Duty models, this new diesel powertrain on the light-duty Ford F-150 should turn heads and deliver confident power and fuel economy.

2018 Ford F-150 Diesel Engine Mileage Numbers

What does best-in-class EPA-estimated fuel economy look like on the 2018 Ford F-150? We have the run-down below:

  • Highway Mileage: 30 mpg
  • City Mileage: 22 mpg
  • Combined Mileage: 25 mpg

These numbers represent significant fuel savings at the pump for busy truck owners, and we are excited about the arrival of these diesel models here at Kimber Creek Ford in Pine River MN.

“Even a few years ago, customers wouldn’t have imagined an EPA-estimated rating of 30 mpg highway would be possible in a full-size pickup, but our team of crazy-smart engineers rose to the challenge,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford executive vice president, in a recent Ford press release.

We are exceptionally excited about the fuel economy and capability of the new 2018 Ford F-150 equipped with the 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel V-6. In case you don’t remember, here are a few of the other drool-worthy numbers for this all-new option:

  • Towing: 11,400 pounds
  • Payload: 2,020 pounds (XL, XLT fleet)/1,940 pounds (retail)
  • 10-Speed SelectShift Transmission

When will the diesel 2018 Ford F-150 arrive?

Orders have already been open for the diesel powertrain of the excellent 2018 F-150 truck, but diesel fans can rejoice. This model will be shipped starting in May 2018. Given that it’s already mid-April, that means that this much-anticipated truck should be appearing very soon!
